Our approach

End-to-end international transport for parrots

Moving a parrot across international borders is one of the most complex logistics challenges a bird owner can face. Import permits, export health certificates, CITES documentation, airline-approved carriers, quarantine requirements — the paperwork alone can take weeks to navigate.

We handle all of it. From the first consultation through to delivery at the destination, we coordinate every element of your bird's journey. Our team has experience shipping parrots to destinations across North America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and beyond.

Your bird travels in an airline-approved, species-appropriate carrier with food, water, and enrichment for the journey. We work only with airlines that have established live animal programs and prioritise your bird's welfare at every stage.

The process

How international shipping works

01

Initial consultation

We discuss your destination, timeline, and your bird's species. We'll confirm what permits and documentation are required for your specific route and give you a full cost estimate.

02

Documentation & permits

We prepare and submit all required paperwork — CITES export permits, import permits for the destination country, and any country-specific requirements. This is often the longest part of the process.

03

Vet health certificate

Your bird is examined by an accredited avian vet and issued an official health certificate within the required window before travel. We coordinate the appointment and handle the paperwork.

04

Airline booking & crate prep

We book your bird on an approved airline with a live animal program, prepare the IATA-compliant travel crate, and ensure food, water, and bedding are ready for the journey.

05

Airport check-in & departure

We accompany your bird to the airport, handle check-in with the airline's live animal team, and confirm your bird is loaded safely before departure.

06

Arrival & clearance

We coordinate with your receiving agent or contact at the destination to ensure smooth customs clearance and delivery. We stay in contact until your bird is confirmed safe and settled.

Important: plan well ahead

We recommend contacting us at least 3 months before your intended travel date — and earlier for destinations with strict biosecurity requirements like Australia and New Zealand.
